Live Highland Park shooting announced at fourth of July Parade in Chicago, Illinois, United States; Check Photos and Information
Highland Park, Illinois: A Chicago's Fourth of July march finished after only 10 minutes heard the gunfire, as per reports.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office said on Twitter that it is helping Highland Park Police "with a shooting in the space of the Independence Day march course."
Many motorcade attendees — some apparently bloodied — escaped the procession course, abandoning seats, child carriages and covers.
A Sun-Times correspondent saw covers put north of three bloodied bodies. Police told individuals: "Everyone scatter, please. Being here isn't protected."
State police are on the scene and we have made all state assets accessible to the local area. We will keep working with neighborhood authorities to help those impacted."
